Gregg Tahmisian brings 20 years of business and software development experience to his role as Chief Executive Officer of Solid State Operations, Inc. As president and co-founder of Netacent, he successfully modernized the state of Idaho’s severely outdated Unemployment Insurance system in collaboration with software engineering and unemployment insurance experts. The Idaho solutions provided the prototype for the company’s unique platform, Data Station™, which leverages Cloud Computing and a Software-as-a-Service delivery model for State Workforce Agencies throughout the country. As a Software Engineer contractor for the Idaho Department of Labor, Gregg was responsible for the implementation of the nation’s first ICON system that communicates entirely over web services, for which he and his team won the prestigious NASCIO award for Improving State Operations in 2015. Prior to his tenure with Netacent and the state of Idaho, Gregg served as Software Development Manager and Solution Architect for InnovaSystems, Database Developer, and Software Engineer for ITE Software in San Diego, California.

Gregg has a BA in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Divinity. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, skiing, and generally being active outdoors.

Bert Newell, Chief Operations Officer for Solid State Operations, Inc., started his working life in the logging industry in McCall, Idaho, where at a young age he learned the personal and professional value of dedication and hard work. Later, he supported his own family as he earned a degree in Computer Science from Boise State University, and since then he has held numerous positions that prepared him for his leadership role at Solid State. He spent nearly 30 years, for example, in numerous capacities at Hewlett-Packard, including project, people and program management, technical lead, and escalation management. “I learned early on that I love working with people and customers,” he says. “I also understand the value of customer and employee satisfaction and how that plays a key role in business.” In addition to his role as COO, Bert is a certified scuba diver and loves beach vacations with his family, as well as camping and fishing adventures in his free time.

In 2020, Caitlin joined Solid State Operations, bringing her financial expertise to the team. Outside of the office, Caitlin enjoys helping others strategize about business endeavors and is part-owner of a successful food truck. An adventure-loving extrovert, Caitlin loves travel, rock climbing, and spending time with her family and two adorable dogs.
